Northern pike are one of the most abundant fish and easiest to catch in the land of 10,000 lakes. They put up a great fight and are very fun to catch, especially for younger anglers who like lots of action.
Yes, they are kind of slimy and do break a lot of lines, but I think northern pike are a very delicious fish to eat, especially when the lake temperatures are still on the cooler side.
The biggest reason most people don’t like to eat pike is they are so boney when not cleaned right. So since I get asked this alot, I thought I would share how I boneless fillet northern pike.
